Fashion as Experiment: The ’60s

Fashion as Experiment features more than eighty garments and accessories from the Museum’s collection that illustrate the tumultuous mood of the decade, ranging from hippie looks to ready-to-wear designs by André Courrèges, Emilio Pucci, and Vera Neumann. This varied selection illustrates how 1960s youth mobilized fashion as a place for debate, activism, and imagination—and as a driver of social and political change.

The Laramie Project

In response to the brutal hate crime that took the life of Matthew Shepard, 25 years ago, in October of 1998, The Tectonic Theater Project, led by their founder Moisés Kaufman, created The Laramie Project by conducting interviews with the community of Laramie Wyoming. Get Out! for Wellness Series: Walnutport Canal Spur, D&L Trail

Snyder Park, named in honor of the man who championed preservation of Walnutport’s section of the canal. It is a beer, wine, liquor, mead and cider tasting type of festival with food, craft and other vendors, including Nort Port The Cheese Ball Company. Fifth Street Cross Races
Thursday, September 28, 2023 | 6:30 PM. Each Thursday includes one 5k-ish run and two cyclocross races. Registration opens at 5 p.m. The 5k-ish is 2x laps starting at 5:45 p.m. The first bike race is 4x laps and starts at 6:30 p.m. There is a break between each race to check your lights or figure out why you came here in the first place. The second race is three laps in the opposite direction. They keep score, but as long as you start the race, you’re winning!
